We acknowledge the Kabi Kabi/Gubbi Gubbi people on whose lands we live and work and we pay our respects to elders past and present. We honour and celebrate the great Kabi Kabi Headman Eumundi (Ngumundi) himself after whom our town is named. He is remembered as a highly hospitable, kind man and a person interested in meeting new people and learning new things. We hope this festival achieves the same for all those involved.
